We are also making some changes, Bry is going back to school in January, and I am going to work full time, if anyones knows of a good full time position, let me know. Married life is great and stressful at times, any tips on how to deal with stress as a couple? with love we can pull through it.
We finally got our wedding pics back, here are some favorites.

The pictures by Jessica Janae are amazing! we love them, and there is SO many, we finally hung picture frames up in our apartment, YAY its looking more homey!!! Any other decorating ideas, our walls are just white with picture frames, and we cant paint, it just looks really bare. I'll post pictures after Christmas! Happy Holidays!

wow

update:
wow so much has happened since i last blogged. most importanly WE'RE MARRIED! I am not longer Taylor Janiel Rampton, I will now be known as Taylor Rampton Morton! It's so weird, and I still have to think about it when I sign my name somewhere. The wedding turned out perfectly once we got there, getting there was a bit of a fiasco, my mom locked her keys in the car and realized right as we were leaving, we got in the explorer and my dad called to have the car unlocked. Everything turned out wonderfully, it was a perfect autumn day and my stake president married us and he did wonderfully. Bry and I had a wonderful day, thanks to everyone who made it possible. After the wedding we went back to our apartment ( our honeymoon was in park city and cali, we didn't want to drive all the way to park city that night) We get out of brys car, and he picks me and and carries me up the stairs and he realizes he doesnt have an apt key, some of our friends took his keys to put "naughty" gifts in and it must have gotten lost. so Bry got our garbage can and climbed through the tiny bathroom window and had to rip the screen (he was still in his tux) he got in and let me in and we sat and talked until 3am, yes, thats right we didn't even have sex on our wedding night, we had no energry so we laid there and talked all night. we drove to park city and stayed at  wonderful bed and breakfast, we had a great time. we came home and opened all of our cards (thanks to everyone who got us cash, gift cards and checks) packed for california and left. the drive down was really fun. we drove straight through and arrived in Carlsbad at 2am, we pulled into the first hotel and got a room and fell asleep, it was 100 bucks a night. the next morning we checked out and went to the beach, we found a different hotel right behind the one we were at for 55 bucks a night, and it was really nice, he showed me where he lived on his mission, and we went to a bunch of towns, it was so fun. We met the husband of a family that he baptized, AJ White, he was a super cool guy, and they had THE cutest house that I want so bad, and I found out that AJ designed and built the house. We met some members Brother and Sister Torzack! they were SO cool, we hung out at there house for a while and they showed me some pictures of Bry grilling and wearing a girl apron! it was SO funny!! We also went to a place called Old Town San Diego! it was SO cool, we walked around there and we ate, and then we went to the Mormon Batallion Museum, which was really cool as well! I learned alot. We went to the beach a lot and walked around, we went to Huntington Beach for a day!
Bry has talked about this burrito called a "california burrito" since he came home from his mission, he tells me that they have fries in them, yeah that's right, french fries. I thought it was SO weird, so I wanted to try it for my self. We go to this hole in the wall Mexican restaurant, and order 2 california burritos, they set this burrito in front of me and it is literally bigger than my head!!! however it was the best burrito i have ever had!!
I ate a lot on this trip, one night we went to a seafood restraunt and we had fish and chips and dessert, we walked out and I was SO stuffed, Bry looks at me and starts laughing! I seriously looked like I was pregnant, I had eaten so much food, I had a BIG food baby in my belly! The whole night Bry is just laughting at me, he couldn't even look at me without laughing!
We stayed in Cali for 4 days and drove home on Thursday, we got home and fell asleep, the next morning we got up and opened all of our presents (thanks to everyone who supported us) We spent the day at bed bath and beyond and target doing returns and purchases. With our gift cards and returns we got a ton of stuff and bed bath and beyond, and at Target we got a new flat screen TV and a Wii! (however we haven't even played the Wii cuz Bry never wants to, maybe i'll get him a cool motorcycle game and then he'll play.) We spent the day organizing everything, and today we are still working on organizing, however it's much better!
Bry and I have been talking alot about what to do about our lives, I have been hating the DATC cuz I feel like i am not learning what I need to. and Bry hates his job, SO next semester Bry is going to go to Weber for either engineering or dental, and when he is done (if he does engineering) I will go to school for dental hygiene, if he decides to go the dental route, I will go to school and he"ll just take a couple classes here and there.
I decided to switch because I need something where I am not on my feet all the time, i have neuropathy in my feet and for the most part it is perfectly fine with my medication but at time it will flare up and start hurting. With Dentaly hygiene I will be sitting and standing, nursing I will be on my feet most of the time. I am very excited for our new plan!
We are so excited for the holidays, this week we are going to Fillmore down to Brys grandparents for Thanksgiving! I am so excited, it will be weird not to be with my family, but I am excited to be with my new family!! We are so excited to decorate a christmas tree, and to go to temple square and see the lights, however, we aren't excited for the snow. Bry and I hate the snow, when its warm and we don't know what to do we ride the motorcycle, we don't know what to do in the winter that is cheap; if anyone has any ideas let me know! :)
Our life is going well, we are so happy to be married! We can't wait to get wedding pictures!!
Here are some pictures of our honeymoon!

honeymoon

so, as some of you know, a while ago Bry and I decided not to go on a honeymoon just yet and that we would just go to Park City for 2 nights and then come home and get back to our lives and go on a honeymoon later. We have been  thinking alot, and we really need a vacation, and we decided now is the time to go. If we wait, life will happen and we just won't ever go, SOOOO last night Bry and I decided that we will go to Park City on Friday and stay fri, and sat night, come home Sunday and then we will drive to California for a couple days, we will stay Sunday night, Monday, Tues, and come home on Wednesday, then Thursday we can open all of our wedding gifts. We are very happy with our decision, and it may be tight for a little bit, but we are in need of a vacation!! We are SO excited to be married!!!

Yeah, what a beauty, I can't wait to watch the sunset on the beach with my new hubby!

Monday, October 10, 2011

Let me tell ya, I really want it to be Thursday the 20th so my wedding would get here, and Bry and I can finally be married and take a nice trip to Park City. I am sick of planning the wedding. I just want it to be here already. I want a new start in school, I want to be DONE with Anatomy and start a new class. I am getting more hours at work so that is good, but I want to put all of my concentration toward my new hubby and school and work. My goal is to be on my externship by February, so when I am in my skills classes that means I need all of you to volunteer to come in and let me give you EKG's, and draw your blood, and have you pee in a cup for me!! I am not too worried about the skills classes, its the classes up to that are difficult. I need to be more motivated and help out my hubby and get all my schooling done and that is what I am going to do!!

Right now, I wish I had a fireplace, and some hot choclate and warm blankets and was snuggling with Bry in front of a fire drinking hot chocolate and reminising on our wonderful life together.
One day we will have cabin with a fireplace.

Weekend

Over the weekend I had a bridal shower which was a great success, on Saturday night Bryan and I took a drive and then when we got home we watched 50 First Dates, it was a lot of fun. On Sunday Bry and I made waffles with our new waffle maker, it was so much fun! We went to church at his Singles Ward, and then we came home and took my truck up Bountiful canyon and looked at all the leaves and watched the sunset, we drove around talking and looking at the beautiful leaves ( we both LOVE autumn), we talked about how excited we are that fall is here, and alll the fun upcoming holidays and tried to think of something to do for Halloween, (we already have our costumes planned.) It was a really great Sunday.

Autumn, at last!

Last Weekend

On Thursday Bry and I went to Temple Square, it was really great, except we got there kind of late, so we didn't get to go in to buildings, so I think this weekend we are going to go back so that I can have an educational experience, on Saturday I had a bridal shower, thank you so much to everyone who came, and thank you Skyler, Marsha, Cheryl, and Mom for all of your help; everything is greatly appriciated. Exactly one month until the wedding and I am so excited!! We have the cutest little apartment, and we (or I) cant wait to get it all decorated. On Saturday I have a family bridal shower, and the next week we are having a couples shower with Bryans family. We made our first meal in our new crockpot yesterday, we had 2 chicken breasts in the freezer, and some potatoes and some cream of chicken soup in the pantry, so we put the chicken breasts in, cut up the potoatoes, and poured the soup in, we put it on low, and then ate it when we both got home from work at 7pm; it was quite delicious. Right now I think I have the flu, this Friday we are hoping to have a campfire with some of our friends (we have campfires A LOT,) we really enjoy having campfires. Last Saturday we had a campfire and took a ride on his dirtbike up Bountiful canyon, I love riding on his dirtbike! I hope I can feel better so that Bry and I can have a wonderful weekend.

Happenings in the new apartment

On August 27th Bry and I moved into our new apartment, some people would call it more of a town house because it has an unfinished basement, which is an amazing blessing. My dad and his dad and Bry and our friend John all moved the furniture in, we have a leather couch and love seat (wedding present from g&g) and really nice bedroom set (also wedding present) a kitchen table from his parents, the only thing we bought was a coffee table and end tables from Ikea for $50, what a deal! We were both so tired from moving and unpacking, we sat down in our new kitchen and ate dinner, during dinner a lady knocked on our door who lives in our complex and asked if we wanted her to turn our sprinklers on, we said yes, we decided to reward ourselves and get icecream, Bryan gives me a weird look and asked if I had just been in the bathroom, "no," I said; he starts looking around and then he runs down the stairs to find water shooting from the concrete wall in the basement by all of the pipes; luckily there was a drain right there so the water was draining into that drain and not flooding the basement. Bry runs upstairs and grabs his phone to call our landlord, (meanwhile I am covering this hole in the wall, with my fingers) our landlord comes over and while he was down there the water stopped. Outside our neighbor was turning our sprinklers off, the water was running down the foundation and leaking into our basement. Bryan got some seal stuff and sealed it, then a  plumber came and fixed it for us. What a great day to welcome us into our new home, and we did end up getting blizzards from dairyqueen.

Bryan has an ulcer, and he has been getting super sick, most nights he gets really lightheaded and starts acting super weird. On Tuesday morning he woke up doing the same thing, and the night before he fell on the living room floor, I was so scared, he has been refusing to go to the doctor. On Tuesday morning I put my foot down, made him call into work, and drove him to an insta-care, they ran some blood tests which were all normal, and did a blood pressure test to check his equilibrium, all normal. This doctor seemed to think he is getting bad headaches because he is dehydrated from his ulcer, and he put him on a different medication for his ulcer. We had a sick day on Tuesday and watched movies all day. He is starting to feel better.

We are both so weddinged out, we are ready for October 20th to get here, and we can stop planning and just be married. We know we will both enjoy October 20th, we just want it to get here so we can be married. We are going to stay in a cute little bed and breakfast called Johnson Mill, located in Midway; this place looks beautiful from the pictures. We aren't taking a "regular" honeymoon right now because of Bryans job, he just started and he doesn't have enough paid time off acquired to take a long honeymoon. Bryan and I would love to go to Europe, so we would like to save our money and in a couple of summers take a long "honeymoon" to Europe.

Last Saturday Bryan and I were so sick of staying in the apartment and we wanted to do something fun, so we took a random camping trip up Bountiful Canyon and we slept in the bed of his truck and a talked all night long, we woke up and made a fire and cooked smores for breakfast. We sat in the bed of his truck talking and decided to take a drive up to Park City, so we came to the apartment and threw all of the stuff in the basement, and changed our clothes, and walked along Main Street in Park City. They were having some sort of festival or something, we ate some street Thai food for lunch, which was delicious.

Tonight Bryan and I are going on a date to Temple Square, I have not been to Temple Square since I was baptised, and I think I only went once before when I started my investigation when Bry took me to see the Joseph Smith movie. After Temple Square we are going to get ice cream! Tomorrow, we are going to have a campfire with some friends, and then on Saturday I have my first bridal shower, yay!!!

My Journey of Faith

Wow! How do I even begin to talk about my weekend and my past 8 months of investigating the church. I guess I will start from square one.
I have grown up in Davis County my whole life, and was always asked my friends and some people I didn't even know to read the Book of Mormon, or attend church with them, I always declined. I never knew anything about the LDS religion, I judged it on the "goody-two shoes" culture that it seemed EVERYONE was living. I had an "anti-mormon" attitude toward the church and wanted nothing to do with it, I never attended church, I attended achievment days for a while in grade school, but then it became awkward being non-LDS. I always had LDS friends, and they would ask me to attend an activity with them and I would kindly decline, it wasn't until I was 20 that I became more interested in learning about the LDS church.

My dear friend Tabi Hammer...soon to be Stout is an amazing part of why I became interested in learning about the mormon religion. I have known Tabi since we were young, we had Girl Scouts together at a community church in Bountiful, we would play on the weekends and soon our families stopped attending church and we drifted apart. In high school and after highschool Tabi fell off the "straight and narrow path" she had a friend give her a Book of Mormon and she started reading it, she was really understanding it and taking the words to heart, she started taking the missionary discussions and was later baptised, Tabi and I hung out one day, after not seeing one another for probably 10 years. I listened to Tabis story and was amazed. I started thinking a lot about how this book that so many people wanted me to read helped Tabi.

I started talking to my friend Bryan (who is now my fiance) an RM about all my questions I had always had about the church, he answered every single question I had, I started reading things online about LDS converts, and my heart felt overjoyed, I started reading the book of mormon and attending church, I also started going to Institute during school lunch hour.

I decided to start taking the missionary lessons, I was super nervous, a few days before I met with them I said a prayer to help me figure out the answer and if I was making the right decision to investigate, I randomly opened up the Book of Mormon to 3 Nephi 11:33 in the jist of things it told me to get baptized, I was overcome with joy. I started taking the missionary discussions and had decided to be baptised on June 25, 2011. In May my parents had a bit of a problem with this date because they thought it was too soon to know if I wanted to be baptized and that I needed to attended all the classses at church; I made the decision to put off my baptism, it ended up being such a great decision. That following Sunday I went to church with Bry and his family, an older man got up and talked about the Book of Mormon, he was a convert, he brought up many things I had been feeling, he even brought up the scripture in 3rd Nephi, and also a conference talk that Bryan had showed me the night prior, Bryan and I both felt something, we kept looking at eachother the whole time, and it gave us both the chills. I attended all  the church meetings, and at the singles ward they started teaching a gospel principles class, which went over basic doctrine that was very helpful to investigators and new converts.

On June 21 (week of what was supposed to have been my baptism) I sat in institute, and Brother Harding asked if I would share how I became interested in the church. I started talking about Tabi, and how I started reading the book of mormon, and how I had opened to the scripture in 3rd Nephi, to my surprise my eyes fill up with tears, and I was overcome with happiness, that next day I went to lunch with my mom who told me she did someones hair who was a convert into the church, I thought that was pretty cool. That weekend (June 24th) Bryan and I went to a wedding reception, we sat down at an empty table and a middle aged couple came and sat down at our table, we started talking and Bryan started talking about his mission, and the gentleman was telling us something and he said "when I was baptized....." Bry and I looked at one another thinking "wow" we learned that this man converted when he was around 20 years old. As we drove home neither of us knew what to say at first, I thought it was crazy that all of these things happened in that same week that I had originally planned on getting baptized, I mentioned this to Bry and he was amazed as well, I had my answer, I had many of them, I had to listen to the answers that Heavenly Father had been sending me.

I kept attending church and I decided I was destin to be a member of the LDS church. Over a dinner conversation my mom asked if I was still planning on being baptized, and I said yes I wanted to in August, my parents were so supportive and so happy that I was happy; and I was so happy! On August 20, 2011 I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Bryan baptized me and it brought us closer that I ever could have imagined, my family was all there, along with Brys family as well as many friends and neighbors, and some people that I didn't even know. There was so much support, that next day in Sacrament Bryan gave my confirmation, the bishop ric, our good friend John, Bryans dad Bruce, and the missionaries all came up and placed their hand on my head, and Bryan confirmed me into the church, and gave me an amazing blessing, he was told I would be a great wife, and mother, and to have extended faith, we were all crying, I felt so much love, and the spirit was so strong. It has been one of the greatest decisions I have made, and I am so thankful to have everyones love and support.

The Proposal

We had gone for a couple months and looked at rings, and I finally found one that I loved. It was our six month anniversary and we had been staying at my grandparents watching their house (back in February at my grandparents Bry and I started dating.)  He came home from work and I had bought him a shirt and the new 311 cd for our anniversary, we went out to dinner at Olive Garden, I suspected nothing. We arrive back to my grandmas and I start walking down the hallway, Bry stops me and faces me towards the living room, I see 3 huge bouquets of flowers on her coffee table, I assumed they were for our anniversary. I turned around and Bry got down on one knee pulled out a little black box and asked me to marry him, and of course I said yes. I cannot wait to marry my best friend on 10/20/11.
